Setting: The jungle, a place with rocks where the cubs play.

Introduction: The four little cub friends play in a place in the jungle, they run, jump and have a great time with each other.

Tiger: (Speaking loudly) Let’s have a competition to see who gets to the pond first.

Puma: Oh no, that bores me. We’d better jump over the stones – He starts jumping one at a time.

Lion: (Yawning) What a laziness, we’d better stay here and tell mysterious stories.

Deer: (Laughing) Mysterious stories? Little Lion, recognize that you are lazy and what you don’t want to do is move. I want to play at running and jumping like Puma says.

Lion: (Accepting) Well, yes, I’m too lazy to run.

Tiger: (mocking) Lions are lazy, the lionesses have to go out and hunt to feed them.

Everyone starts to laugh at the little lion and he walks away annoyed.

Deer: going to jump and you will count who does it more times, do you want to? That way you won’t have to move but you participate in the game.

Lion: (Still a little angry) Okay, but I’ll tell you when to start.

Puma: (Standing in the middle of the area where they play) Okay, let’s go.

The little lion waits for them to get organized to indicate when to start.

Lion cub: One, two, three, now!

The other three cubs start jumping and the little lion tries to keep count.

Lion: (counting in a tangled mess) Tiger 5, Deer 6, Puma 4, Puma 7, Tiger 4, Deer 6 Stop! I can’t count if they all jump at the same time.

Deer: (Frustrated) We can’t play like this, little lion, concentrate.

Puma: (mocking) Oh yes, the most concentrated.

Deer: (Laughing and starting to struggle in play with the puma) Don’t mess with me.

Both puppies begin to play and run around each other and without realizing it, the little deer crosses the path of Mrs. Bear who was passing by and makes her fall down.

Mrs. Bear: Ayyyyyyyyyyyyy!, heeeeeeelp!

All the puppies were astonished to see Mrs. Bear fall. But the little deer and the puma run to hide, feeling guilty for what happened. Tiger and the little lion approach Mrs. Bear.

Tiger: Mrs. Bear, are you all right?

Mrs. B: No, I can’t get up, my hip hurts a lot.

Lion: We have to help her.

Tiger: Yes, you take her on one side and I’ll take her on the other.

Both cubs start trying to lift Mrs. Bear, who is very heavy, but they can’t, they push and push and they can’t do it. Deer, who is watching hidden, signals to the puma to come closer and slowly they go where their friends are.

Deer: Sorry Mrs. Bear, we didn’t mean to knock you down.

Mrs. Bear: I know, deer, now help me to lift it up.

Puma: We can’t, you are too big and we are too small.

Deer: Of course we can, two on each side and on the count of three.

The little puma stands next to the little tiger and the little deer next to the little lion and begins to pull Mrs. Bear until she is lifted. They push hard several times until they succeed. When they do it, they start clapping and celebrating.

Deer: I told you there is strength in unity.

Mrs. Bear: Thank you guys, if you hadn’t come back I wouldn’t have been able to stand up from there all day.

Puma: We promise to play more carefully.

Deer: I have an idea, let’s take her home with us to make sure she gets there safely.

Lion: Good idea.

They all walk behind Mrs. Bear off the stage.
